As of November 13, 2025, Ronaldo has netted 953 career goals, 716 for clubs and 127 for Portugal, putting him just 47 goals shy of the magical 1,000 mark. At 40 years old, he’s still firing on all cylinders at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, scoring 10 goals in 11 appearances this season. His contract runs until 2027, giving him a realistic shot at rewriting football history once again.

Ronaldo has already confirmed that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be his last dance with Portugal, making every goal from now till then a little more emotional. Meanwhile, Ancelotti, now guiding Brazil toward the same tournament, also reflected on the next football generation, praising the brilliance of Mbappé, Bellingham, Haaland, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha. He also singlehandedly defended his former Real Madrid player Endrick, claiming that with time the young Brazilian will hit his full potential.

For Ronaldo, he is already a legend but a slave of his own ever-demanding habit, and with the way Cristiano Ronaldo trains, his dedication to the sport and his undeniable longevity, breaching the 1,000 goals milestone is one that you can rule out for the legendary Portuguese.
