Chelsea midfielder Moisés Caicedo has declared that his ultimate ambition is to become a legend at Stamford Bridge after settling into life with the Blues.

Softfootball noted that the Ecuador international believes he is now enjoying his football more after adapting to the club and flourishing under new manager Enzo Maresca. Following a difficult debut campaign after his £115 million move from Brighton, Caicedo says increased confidence and support from his teammates have helped him rediscover his best form.

The 22-year-old also expressed his delight at being entrusted with the captain’s armband on several occasions in the absence of Reece James.

Caicedo described captaining Chelsea as a dream come true, revealing that he supported the club growing up and never imagined he would one day lead the team. The midfielder added that Maresca’s faith in him has strengthened his determination to repay that trust and continue working towards becoming one of Chelsea’s most respected players.
