The Confederation of African Football has selected Nigerian referee Yemisi Eunice Akintoye among the officials appointed to handle matches at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Softfootball reports that Akintoye is part of a group of 18 match officials chosen by CAF for the continental tournament. Her selection represents another important opportunity for Nigeria to have a match official involved at the highest level of women’s football in Africa.
