Bryan Mbeumo continued his excellent start to pre-season as Manchester United fought back from an early setback to draw 1-1 with the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League winners in Gothenburg.
Softfootball understands that PSG made the perfect start when Ibrahim Mbaye opened the scoring inside two minutes, tapping home at the back post after Dro Fernandez delivered a dangerous cross. United were forced to respond quickly and gradually grew into the contest.
Their pressure was rewarded in the 32nd minute when Mbeumo coolly finished after excellent work from Amad Diallo.
There were, however, injury concerns for United. Mason Mount was forced off early with a possible foot problem, while goalkeeper Tom Heaton was replaced shortly after half-time with what appeared to be a hamstring issue.
United will now head to the Republic of Ireland for a training camp before facing Leeds at Croke Park in Dublin. They will then conclude their preparations against AC Milan in Poland.
PSG, meanwhile, will turn their attention to their upcoming UEFA Super Cup meeting with Aston Villa after settling for a draw against the Red Devils.
