Brazil secured a commanding 4–0 victory over Peru in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Mané Garrincha Stadium in Brasília. Softfootball recorded, the hosts raced into the lead thanks to a penalty converted by Raphinha in the 38th minute, after VAR awarded Brazil a spot-kick.
Raphinha doubled the advantage from the penalty spot again in the 54th minute, giving Brazil a comfortable 2–0 lead. Peru struggled to create meaningful chances despite several tactical changes and substitutions by manager Óscar Ibáñez.
Andreas Pereira added Brazil’s third goal in the 71st minute, firing home a precise finish after a clever setup by Luiz Henrique. Just three minutes later, Luiz Henrique himself scored to make it 4–0, capping a dominant display and sealing the three points for the five-time World Cup winners.

Similar to Brazil securing a dramatic 2–1 victory over Chile in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match at the Estadio Nacional couple of days ago, Brazil controlled possession throughout the match, forcing Peru into defensive errors while maintaining a high pass accuracy.
Peru received five yellow cards, reflecting their frustration under Brazil’s relentless pressure, while Brazil were only cautioned once.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men demonstrated depth and tactical flexibility with substitutions including Endrick, André, and Matheus Pereira, maintaining intensity until the final whistle. The result keeps Brazil in a strong position in the South American qualifying group, sending a clear message to other contenders.
