Borussia Dortmund have officially completed the signing of Kauã Prates, with the Brazilian left-back putting pen to paper on a contract running until June 2031.
The deal has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle. Prates was pictured alongside sporting director Sebastian Kehl, managing director Lars Ricken and intermediary Andrea Pellegatti from Epic Sports during the signing.
Romano posted:
Kaua Prates has officially signed in as a Borussia Dortmund player, deal confirmed. Here with Sebastian Kehl, Lars Ricken and the intermediary Andrea Pellegatti from Epic Sports. Contract until June 2031.
Softfootball previously reported that Dortmund were expected to finalise the transfer following the completion of formalities.
The 17-year-old is viewed as a long-term investment at left-back as the Bundesliga side look to strengthen the position after inconsistent performances from Ramy Bensebaini, who lost his starting spot to Daniel Svensson.

Prates will remain under contract with Cruzeiro Esporte Clube for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign before officially joining Dortmund in the summer of 2026.
Elsewhere, San Diego FC have signed 18-year-old winger Bryan Zamblé to his first professional contract and will integrate him directly into the first team.
The deal is guaranteed through 2026, with club options running from 2029 to 2030, and the player will occupy an International Roster Slot.
