Victor Boniface has extended his stay at Bayer Leverkusen after agreeing to a new contract that runs until the summer of 2029, Softfootball learnt.
Transfer expert Florian Plettenberg revealed that the Nigerian striker quietly signed a one-year extension, securing improved financial terms that place him among the club’s highest earners.
Despite the extension, Leverkusen are reportedly still willing to consider offers if interested clubs meet their valuation of at least €50 million. Teams from Saudi Arabia are said to be monitoring the striker’s situation closely.
Boniface joined the Bundesliga champions from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023 and immediately became a key figure under Xabi Alonso.
His outstanding debut season helped Leverkusen secure both the Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal, while his consistent goalscoring has made him one of the league’s most exciting forwards.
Leverkusen remain eager to build around Boniface, although they are prepared to listen to substantial offers in future transfer windows.
