Jude Bellingham has reached another historic milestone in his career after becoming the youngest player to make 50 appearances for England during the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, Softfootball reports.

The Real Madrid midfielder achieved the feat at 22 years and 359 days old, breaking the previous record held by Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, who reached 50 caps at 23 years and 159 days.

Bellingham’s rapid rise has been remarkable since making his England debut in 2020 at just 17 years old. In the space of a few years, he has become one of the national team’s most influential players, featuring in major international tournaments and taking on increasing responsibility in midfield.

The milestone adds to an already impressive career for the former Borussia Dortmund star, who has established himself as a key figure at Real Madrid. Bellingham recently reaffirmed his commitment to the Spanish giants, dismissing speculation around his future and showing his desire to continue succeeding at the Santiago Bernabéu.

His performances for both club and country have made him one of the most recognised young talents in world football. Reaching 50 England appearances before turning 23 highlights his consistency, maturity, and importance to the national team.

With many years still ahead of him, Bellingham’s latest record further strengthens his reputation as one of England’s brightest footballing talents and a potential future leader for the Three Lions.
