Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has expressed his confidence that Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz can successfully play together, insisting that the two German stars possess the quality, intelligence and creativity needed to form one of Europe’s most exciting attacking partnerships.

The debate over whether Musiala and Wirtz can fit into the same team has continued for some time, with both players naturally operating in advanced attacking roles.

However, Eberl believes their technical ability and tactical flexibility make them perfectly capable of complementing one another rather than competing for the same position.

Speaking to Bayern Munich’s official website, Eberl dismissed concerns that Musiala and Wirtz could not play in the same lineup. He pointed to their performances for the German national team as proof that the partnership can flourish at the highest level.

Highlighting how both players combined effectively whenever they shared the pitch for Germany, Eberl said:

We have already seen it during the Euros.

The Bayern chief believes modern football demands intelligent and versatile players who can adapt to different tactical systems. In his view, Musiala and Wirtz possess exactly those qualities, allowing them to interchange positions, create chances and unlock stubborn defences.

With Musiala’s future secured and Wirtz continuing to attract interest from Europe’s biggest clubs, speculation over a potential partnership at Bayern is likely to continue.
