Lazio head coach Marco Baroni has expressed confidence in Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s potential, following the Super Eagles midfielder’s impressive showing in the club’s 1-0 win over Napoli.
Speaking to Noi Biancocelesti, Baroni acknowledged the challenge that comes with adjusting to a new league, especially one as demanding as Serie A.

Softfootball understands the coach was keen to stress the importance of patience with young players still finding their feet in Italian football.
He said:
I am happy to work with these guys; they are good, I give them opportunities, and they work hard. For us, there is only work. We have these players to carry forward in three competitions.
Baroni went on to explain exactly what he believes Dele-Bashiru still needs to develop. He added:
Dele-Bashiru has great potential, but it’s clear he has to find the rhythm of the match, the mentality, the physicality, and the quality. It’s not easy to transition from a different league to the Italian one, where mistakes are not tolerated.
The Nigerian will be hoping to continue building on his recent form as Lazio push forward on multiple fronts this season.
