Atlético Madrid Agree Personal Terms with Éderson as Griezmann Exit Nears

Softfootball can confirm Atlético Madrid have reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with Éderson, identifying the Atalanta BC midfielder as a top target ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano on his official x handle he stated:

Atlético Madrid have verbally agreed on personal terms with Éderson as Atalanta midfielder is a top target. No agreement yet between clubs as talks continue around €35/40m fee but still in negotiations. Éderson, out of contract in June 27.

The Spanish side are also preparing for the departure of Antoine Griezmann, who has a verbal agreement in place to join Orlando City SC in July 2026.

Negotiations between the two clubs are still ongoing, with discussions centered around a potential transfer fee in the region of €35–40 million. Éderson, whose current contract runs until June 2027, remains a key priority for Atlético as they look to strengthen their midfield.

Sporting director Mateu Alemany is leading the club’s summer plans, with Atlético expected to be active in the market.

Meanwhile, Marcos Llorente has reiterated his desire to remain at Atlético long-term, expressing his intention to retire at the club while seeking a contract renewal.
