Atletico Madrid agree €26m deal with Napoli for Raspadori

Atletico Madrid has finalised a €26 million deal with Napoli for the services of Giacomo Raspadori, Softfootball reports.

The 25-year-old has already left the camp of the Serie A champions to fly to Madrid. The striker is one of the most highly rated Italian forwards of the modern era and tipped to lead the Azzurri’s attack to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Atlético and Napoli have exchanged all formal documents for the deal. A move that became possible only after Enzo Millot’s deal was hijacked by Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli.

He said:

“Giacomo Raspadori to Atlético Madrid, here we go! Deal agreed for fee package worth €22m plus €4m add-ons.

“Raspadori agreed personal terms earlier today and wanted Atléti move with Napoli keen to sell.

“New signing completed for Atléti after Millot deal off.”

Also on his X handle, Fabrizio Romano revealed the latest on the player. He stated:

“Jack Raspadori has already left Napoli’s camp to fly to Madrid in the next hours.

“Atlético Madrid and Napoli are exchanging all formal documents for €26m package deal to be announced.”

Raspadori is quick, diminutive and agile as a forward. He has a low centre of gravity and he’s capable of playing as a second striker, as a centre-forward.

Raspadori can be deployed as an attacking midfielder, and even as a winger in a 4–2–3–1 formation. He has also been deployed as a false 9 on occasion under Italy manager Luciano Spalletti. He often drops deep to create space for the late runs of his midfield teammates.

The Italian striker is a two-footed player, who possesses good vision and technical skills, he is capable of both creating and scoring goals. His playing style has drawn comparisons with Antonio Di Natale and Carlos Tevez, although he has cited Sergio Agüero as one of his major inspirations.

Raspadori is expected to have his medicals in Spain before sealing his deal with Atletico Madrid .
