Atalanta have reportedly placed a substantial valuation on Ademola Lookman as interest in the Nigeria international intensifies ahead of the summer transfer window.

Softfootball reports that the Bergamo club could demand around €50 million for the winger, with Serie A champions Napoli among the teams showing serious interest in his services.

Lookman has established himself as one of Atalanta’s most important attacking players since joining the club. His pace, creativity and ability to score from different positions have made him a key part of the team’s attacking structure.

The Nigerian’s performances have also attracted attention beyond Italy, increasing the possibility of a competitive transfer battle during the summer.

Napoli are looking to strengthen their attack after winning the Serie A title and have identified Lookman as a player capable of providing quality and versatility. His ability to operate from either flank or through the middle would give the champions additional tactical options.

Atalanta, however, have little reason to sell cheaply. Lookman remains under contract and his importance to the team means the club can negotiate from a strong position. Napoli must therefore decide whether the reported valuation fits their transfer plans.
