Arsenal are currently on top of the premier league table and unbeaten at home since the start of the season but fans of the club are not happy with the Gunners after their game against Liverpool yesterday, Softfootball reports.

Liverpool held Arsenal to a goalless draw at the Emirates on Thursday night in a game the Reds dominated the Gunners throughout the second half with the fans scared they were going to lose the match.

However, Mikel Arteta praised his players after the match but the fans are not having it as they felt that they underperformed. Incase you missed the match, here is the highlights as posted via Arsenal’s official X handle. Watch below.

Arsenal fan @AFC_Beeb was not satisfied with the result despite playing out a draw.

I can’t believe I looked forward to this game all day only to put in this shambolic performance. This is why it’s also good to take our chances in the game. We had a good period in the first half but we didn’t utilize the opportunity. Six points clear and let’s shake this off and move on.

Another fan @afcmuktar left little sympathy for the players as he felt they played into Liverpool’s hands in the second half.

Our second half performance was so poor but I can’t blame the squad cuz Liverpool were just passing the ball around with no intention to score. We’re still 6 points clear at the top. COME ON YOU GUNNERS.

Arsenal bottling a golden chance to go 8 points clear at home against a struggling Liverpool side? Classic Gunners. Top of the league but still can’t beat the big teams when it matters. Title race wide open again! #AFC #Bottlers.

@Sam1surest_ felt it was an embarrassing performance from the Arsenal team.

I see clear reasons people go about saying Arsenal can’t win the league. What sort of embarrassing performance was that? You need to refund everyone who bought a ticket. I should think this match was fixed? No way you’d play an inform Villa that way and then play an out of form Liverpool with no enthusiasm. Shameful decoy.

While some Arsenal fans like @kakensaug couldn’t understand why the Gunners are getting so much criticisms despite leading the league.

When Arsenal went down to the second position with a game in hand, the haters called it bottler FC, when Arsenal went on top with a difference of 3 points, they said the same, when Arsenal went 6 points clear, they said the same, today, its still 6 points ahead, they are saying the same. Arsenal is winning the trophy this season, in Jesus’s name, Amen.

@chuckdavie believes the good times are ahead for Arsenal.

A lot of fans will be disappointed with that 0-0. Worth pointing out our first two fixtures of the second half of the season were Villa and Liverpool. Our remaining fixtures are a lot of easier on paper than our rivals.

@1206Devisjim was grateful for the result especially because their closest rivals Manchester City dropped points.

With the way we played, we didn’t deserve to win. Alison Becker was excellent today. We are lucky that City dropped points as well yesterday. Otherwise, we would be in different conversations. But we take the draw and a clean sheet. Onto the next one!!

@SoEdunOkanESita berated the Gunners for failing to capitalise on Manchester City’s slip.

How Arsenal manages to top the Premier League this season is a mystery. The way Arsenal plays is not better than how Wolverhampton that sits at the bottom of the League plays. It’s good they capitalise on the slippery forms of Manchester City and Liverpool to gather good points. I hope Arsenal would not have gone far before Liverpool and Manchester City wake up from their slumber.

Arsenal will face Portsmouth on Sunday while Liverpool host Barnsley on Monday night in the third round of the English FA Cup, arguably the oldest competition in the world.
