Liverpool manager has hailed Florian Wirtz following his first goal for the club during the premier league Match-Day 18, Softfootball reports.
The Reds beat Wolves 2-1 to continue their good in recent weeks but the biggest positives for the defending champions was the resurgence of German footballer, Wirtz, who joined Liverpool for over 100 million pounds last summer. He scored his first goal against a Wolves side that was seeking a first win of the season.

In an interview after the match which was shared by football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Arne Slot said:
The team have seen how much he (Wirtz) did already for us, creating chances and being so close to a goal. He will go on and score many more goals than one for us. I think Florian did more than only score today.
Liverpool Captain Virgil van Dijk was happy the Reds found a way to beat Wolves at Anfield after they made life difficult for the Reds. Ryan Gravenberch and Florian Wirtz gave Liverpool a 2-0 lead before Santiago Bueno reduced the deficit for the relegation threatened side.

Florian Wirtz joined Liverpool on June 20, 2025, for a significant fee, becoming a club-record signing. He debuted in the FA Community Shield on August 10, 2025, grabbing an assist in a penalty shootout loss.
The former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder made his league debut on August 15, 2025, against Bournemouth. He recorded his first Premier League assist in a 2-1 win against Tottenham on December 20, 2025.
