Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim insists his full attention is on preparing his team for their Premier League clash against Southampton rather than ongoing speculation surrounding Marcus Rashford.

The Portuguese coach says his priority is selecting the players capable of securing all three points as United look to improve their recent performances.

Amorim acknowledged that his side still has work to do, particularly in attack, where he believes they need to create more chances and spend longer periods in the final third. Softfootball reports the United boss remains committed to developing a more attacking style but admits the transition will require patience.

Speaking ahead of the match, Amorim said:

I just want to win tomorrow. My focus is to win tomorrow and I will choose the players that I think are the best to win the game.

He added:

We have had for a long time a lack of goals… in the future we are going to focus a lot on that.

The United manager remains confident his ideas will take shape over time as the team continues adapting to his tactical approach during the remainder of the season.
