Softfootball understands that Al Qadsiah are in advanced negotiations with Manchester City over a potential €60 million transfer for Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.

The Saudi Pro League club have made significant progress in talks with Manchester City, with a club-to-club agreement now considered close. However, the transfer cannot be completed until Reijnders gives his approval to the proposed move.

The 28-year-old midfielder remains an important figure for City, but Al Qadsiah are prepared to make a major financial commitment to bring him to Saudi Arabia. Their proposal could make Reijnders one of the most significant additions to their squad this summer.

However, Manchester City are also progressing with another midfield development, with Ayyoub Bouaddi and his representatives having reached an agreement on personal terms with the Premier League champions.

The highly rated young midfielder is now closer to completing a move to the Etihad Stadium, potentially providing City with a long-term option in midfield should Reijnders eventually depart.

The situation therefore remains dependent on Reijnders’ decision. While Manchester City and Al Qadsiah are close to settling the financial side of the deal, the Dutch international must now determine whether he is prepared to accept the Saudi Arabian proposal.
