Super Eagles striker Akor Adams was in action as Montpellier claimed an impressive 3-1 victory over Brest in Sunday’s Ligue 1 encounter.

Montpellier made a flying start to the contest, taking the lead in the sixth minute through Arnaud Nordin, who calmly converted from the penalty spot.
Akor had a golden opportunity to double the advantage just three minutes later but failed to direct his effort on target.
The hosts quickly recovered from that miss as Wahbi Khazri found the net in the 12th minute to put Montpellier firmly in control before the break.
Brest pulled one back through Martin early in the second half to briefly raise hopes of a comeback, but Nordin restored Montpellier’s two-goal cushion by converting his second penalty of the afternoon.
The victory gives Montpellier a valuable three points, with Akor once again playing a key role in the attacking line despite not getting on the scoresheet.
