Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has shut down reports linking him with a transfer from Sevilla to newly promoted Serie A side Venezia, distancing himself from the speculation circulating in recent days.
Unconfirmed sources had revealed that Sevilla rejected a €10 million bid from Venezia for the Nigerian forward. The rumour gained further traction after journalist William Lasalandra claimed Adams had already agreed personal terms with the Italian club.
However, reacting to the reports, Adams firmly dismissed the claims in a statement to Footy Africa:
It is normal that during this period there will be rumours of transfer moves for a lot of players, and not just myself. I have not spoken to my agent, and I do not take such things seriously because right now it is time to relax and recharge for next season.
His comments make it clear that he is not currently engaged in any transfer discussions, and his priority remains rest and recovery ahead of the 2026–27 campaign.

Softfootball understands that Akor Adams officially joined Sevilla on 27 January 2025, completing a move from Montpellier HSC for a reported €5.5 million fee. He signed a contract running through to summer 2029, making him a long‑term asset for the La Liga side.
