Softfootball can confirm that Karim Benzema has sustained an adductor injury and will be assessed by Al Hilal SFC medical staff on Tuesday.
Al Hilal confirmed that Benzema will not travel with the squad delegation to Al-Qassim due to pain in his adductor muscle.
According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano on his official x handle, the former Ballon d’Or winner will undergo a scan on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, to evaluate the injury and determine its severity.
Fabrizio stated:
Karim Benzema has suffered adductor injury and he will be assessed by Al Hilal staff on Tuesday.
The setback comes shortly after Benzema completed a surprise move to Al Hilal earlier in February, officially terminating his contract with Al Ittihad Club before switching sides.

The transfer was widely regarded as one of the most eye-catching in-season moves in Saudi Pro League history, with the striker crossing rivalry lines at a pivotal stage of the campaign.
Benzema had begun to build momentum following his arrival, making the timing of the injury particularly frustrating for both player and club.
His absence could affect his availability for upcoming fixtures, including the Saudi Pro League clash against Al Taawoun FC. The scan results will clarify whether the issue is a short-term setback or something more serious.
Elsewhere on the injury front, Álvaro Odriozola has suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the remainder of the season. The Real Sociedad defender sustained the serious injury during his side’s clash against Real Oviedo, dealing a significant blow to the team’s defensive options.
