Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has commended his squad following their dominant 4–0 victory over Hull City in the FA Cup. On the other hand, Liam Delap silenced many of his critics after a quiet first half by delivering an outstanding second-half performance, registering two assists most notably a classy setup for Estêvão Willian in the 59th minute.

“I don’t want to single a player out as I felt the whole team, from Alejandro Garnacho’s energy, pressing and running, to Liam Delap, Estevao, the midfield players, the back unit, Rob Sanchez, I felt it was a really strong team performance. That is what makes me so happy this evening.”

The manager highlighted the intensity and work rate shown across the pitch, particularly applauding Garnacho’s pressing and overall contribution.

Softfootball also gathered, Rosenior also addressed the performance of Mamadou Sarr, who impressed on his return after his loan spell at RC Strasbourg. Many observers have suggested Sarr outperformed Benoît Badiashile, and Rosenior made it clear he has full confidence in the young defender.

“Mamadou was everything that I expect. I know Mamadou so well and I think his acclimatisation and adaptation process will, hopefully, be fast because he already understands how I want to play.”

With familiarity from their time together in France, Rosenior believes Sarr will integrate seamlessly into his system. Chelsea will now turn their attention to their next fixture against Burnley on Saturday, 21 February at 15:00 (UK time). Fans will be hoping the Blues can build on this momentum and continue their strong run of form.
