Vítor Pereira is on the verge of being appointed Nottingham Forest’s new head coach, with the deal now at its final stages, Softfootball confirms.
The development was confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle.
he stated:
Vitor Pereira, on the verge of becoming new Nottingham Forest head coach. Deal at final stages.
Forest have moved quickly to identify a replacement for Sean Dyche and are set to hold final talks with the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss.
An agreement with Pereira is already in place in principle, with only final details left to be resolved. There are no issues regarding his Wolves exit package, with the Midlands club only needing to be formally approached as part of the process.

Pereira’s Premier League record stands at a 31% win rate, 16% draw rate and 53% loss rate. He was dismissed by Wolves on November 2, 2025, after a winless start to the 2025/26 campaign, having taken charge in December 2024.
If confirmed, Forest will become the first club in Premier League history to appoint four permanent head coaches in a single season. Pereira’s first match in charge is expected to come against Fenerbahçe, a club he previously managed.
