England international, Tammy Abraham has expressed delight following his return to Aston Villa on a permanent basis after seven years.
Softfootball had earlier reported that Unai Emery was keen for Abraham to rejoin the club this January after first spell at the club where he scored 26 goals in 40 games to help the team gain promotion back to the premier league in the 2018/19 campaign.

In his first interview since returning to the club as shared via Aston Villa’s official X handle, Abraham admitted his excitement at coming back to the club. He revealed:
It still doesn’t feel real. Since this first time, I arrived here, I fell in love with the club. Ever since I left this club, I’ve pretty much watched every game, so I’ve been keeping track. We had an amazing season (in 2018/19), amazing outcome, and I always told myself (that) if I had to come back to England, Villa would be one of the special teams to come back to. I spoke it into existence, so I’m happy to be here. So many great memories, and I’m here now to create even more. I just can’t wait to meet everyone, to be back at Villa Park and seeing the crowd and seeing so many familiar faces. It’s exciting.

Besiktas had to pay-off his loan so they could sell him directly to Aston Villa in a smart deal and all parties involved were happy with the deal. Abraham is expected to play alongside Ollie Watkins in attack for Unai Emery’s men as they hope to secure a UEFA Champions League spot for next season.

Aston Villa recently recalled Leon Bailey from his loan spell at AS Roma and would hope he joins Abraham, who won the Champions League and Conference League with Chelsea, to strength their attack going forward their season.
