On paper, Nigeria are considered one of the favourites to win AFCON 2025, having recorded the highest number of goals scored in the tournament so far. The Super Eagles’ attacking firepower, led by Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, has been a major highlight of their campaign.
However, the challenge ahead remains significant. Algeria are widely regarded as one of the most defensively solid teams in the competition, setting up a classic battle between Nigeria’s attacking strength and Algeria’s defensive discipline.
With both teams now settled in Marrakech, all eyes turn to January 10 as two African heavyweights clash for a place in the AFCON 2025 semifinals. 🦅🏆
