Liverpool manager Arne Slot claims that Mohamed Salah has moved on from his rants about being benched and now focused at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Softfootball reports.
Salah was a substitute last weekend when Liverpool beat Brighton 2-0 at Anfield. The Egyptian almost scored in the final minutes after providing an assist for Hugo Ekitike, who scored both goals for the Red.

In an interview shared on Fabrizio Romano’s official X handle, Slot was happy how the incident went without causing damage to the club or player. He said:
I said last week, actions speak louder than words. We moved on, he was in the squad and was first sub. Now he is at AFCON, it’s fair that all his focus is over there and no distractions for me saying anything about his time at Liverpool here.
Liverpool Captain Virgil van Dijk hopes Salah stays as he believes the Egyptian still has a massive role to play at the club for the rest of the season and beyond.
Saudi Arabia clubs are still interested in the service of Salah. They have carefully monitored his situation at Liverpool and believes he will be the biggest coup for the Arab country and even the whole region.

This season, despite his limited appearances Salah has scored five goals in all competitions. Since he joined the club in 2017, he has won two premier league titles, named Premier League Player of the Season twice, won the UEFA Champions League, three Premier League Golden Boots and Africa Player of the Year twice.
Salah is currently with the Egyptian national team preparing for the AFCON tournament.
