Mason Greenwood is easily the most valuable player in Ligue 1 as he continues to shine for Marseille, Softfootball reports.
The former Manchester United star was part of the Marseille side that defeat PSG 1-0 in the Famous Le Classique match this season and he is pushing on from last season where his debut was fire.

At the weekend, he was celebrated via the official X handle of Marseille as he helped the club to a hard-earned victory against AS Monaco and picked up the Man-of-the-Match award. They posted:

Recall, Softfootball listed Greenwood as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool if he eventually lives the club in January of next summer.
Greenwood joined Marseille on a permanent five-year contract from Manchester United in July 2024 for a fee of up to €31.6 million. He made an immediate impact, scoring two goals and assisting two others on his debut. He reached five goals in his first three games, matching a club record.

In his first season (2024-25), he was the joint top scorer in Ligue 1 with 21 goals and also provided 6 assists, helping Marseille secure second place and Champions League qualification. His strong performance has continued into the current season, including scoring four goals in a single match against Le Havre in October 2025 to send Marseille top of the league.
Known for his ability to use both feet effectively, he primarily plays as a forward or right-winger and has been praised for his goal-scoring prowess and technical skill. He is considered a vital, non-transferable asset to the team, with his manager even suggesting he has the potential to win the Ballon d’Or.
