Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has admitted the past few days have been extremely difficult, despite his side returning to winning ways in the Premier League. The Italian was speaking after Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Everton today, a result that helped ease some of the pressure that had built up around the club, Softfootball reports.
Chelsea’s recent form has been a talking point, especially after their impressive 3-0 win over Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League three weeks ago. Since that statement victory, the London side have struggled to maintain momentum, managing just one win in their last four matches prior to today’s league success.

According to Fabrizio Romano via official X handle, Maresca was honest about the emotional toll of recent events, particularly the reaction following Chelsea’s defeat to Arsenal. The Blues boss suggested that the atmosphere around the team shifted noticeably after that game. Romano posted:
Enzo Maresca: The last 48 hours has been the worst 48 hours since I joined Chelsea. I had the feeling that so many people didn’t support us after the Arsenal game.
The win over Everton may not erase all concerns, but it offers Maresca and his players a platform to rebuild confidence and reconnect with the supporters as Chelsea look to steady their season and push forward from here.
