Liverpool manager, Arne Slot seems open to the idea of giving Mohamed Salah a chance of returning to the team after he was dropped for the UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday night, Softfootball reports.
The Egyptian was dropped for the trip to Italy but it was no problem as Liverpool beat Inter Milan 1-0 at the famous Sansiro stadium. The win took the Reds to eighth on the UCL table with 12 points after six matches so far.

Speaking after the match against the Nerazzurri’s Slot hinted in an interview shared by football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, that the door is open for Salah at the club. He said:
You say everyone makes mistakes in life… so the first thing should be — does the player think he made a mistake as well! The next question is: should the initiative come from myself or from player? I never said I’m not going to talk to him anymore.
Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney in a previous interview had said that Salah was disrespectful towards Liverpool, Slot and fans after the former Roma and Chelsea winger complained about his treatment at the club and hinted on leaving the club.

Many believed it’s the same tactics Salah used before signing his new two-year deal that made him the one of the highest paid players in the premier league while to others, he was just expressing his frustration at being left out for three consecutive matches.
Salah is scheduled to leave Anfield by next week to join the Egyptian national team as they prepare for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be hosted by Morocco.
