It is looking inevitable that Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool this summer following his falling out with manager Arne Slot, Softfootball reports.
The Egyptian international was an unused substitute as Liverpool drew 3-3 against Leeds United in the Premier League match-Day 15 played at Elland Road on Saturday. The former Roma and Chelsea star has been on the bench for three consecutive matches and he is not happy about it.

Salah has never been afraid to speak up and it was no surprise when he came out after the Leeds match to say that all he demands is that promises made to him be kept. In an interview shared by football expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle. Salah said:
It’s very clear that someone wants me to get all the blame. The club promised in the summer, a lot of promise for me, and so far, I am on the bench for three games. All I can say is keep the promises. We will see what happens. In my head I will enjoy the game, even when I don’t play. We will see what will happen. It’s at Anfield, say goodbye to the fans, go to AFCON… because I don’t know what will happen when I’m there anyway.
Liverpool manager, Arne Slot claims that its never easy to leave Salah out but every decision he makes is for the team. He believes he has the responsibility to pick the best team every time but Salah believes their relationship is broken. He reveals:
I had a good relationship with the manager. All of a sudden, we don’t have any relationship. I don’t know why. It seems to me that someone doesn’t want me in the club.
Softfootball takes a look into the transfer market and the potential replacements for Mohamed Salah if he eventually departs Liverpool in January or in the summer.
Rodrygo

Rodrygo Silva de Goes Rodrygo Silva de Goes joined Real Madrid in July 2019 from Santos FC for a fee of €45 million. He is versatile forward that can play on both wings and plays very well in big-game, scoring crucial goals, especially in the UEFA Champions League.
The Brazilian forward has made over 280 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid, scoring nearly 70 goals for the club. He has won 13 major trophies with Real Madrid, including two UEFA Champions League titles and three La Liga championships.
Rodrygo scored a hat-trick on his UEFA Champions League debut in October 2019, becoming one of the youngest players to achieve this feat.
His most memorable performance came in the 2021-22 Champions League semi-final second leg against Manchester City, where he scored two late goals to force extra time, enabling Real Madrid’s progression to the final. He scored a brace in the 2023 Copa del Rey final win over Osasuna, earning the Man of the Match award.
He has been previously linked to Liverpool and may likely cost around 70 million Euros for the Reds to get him as a replacement for the Egyptian by next summer.
Savinho

Sávio Moreira de Oliveira, known as Savinho almost joined Tottenham Hotspur from Manchester City last summer until a difference in valuation stalled the deal.
15-time UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid wanted his service when he was at Girona but he chose to move to England and join Manchester City around July 2024, for around €40m, signing a five-year contract that was later extended until 2031 and has made over 50 appearances for the club so far.
Savinho is open to leaving Manchester City and Liverpool will appeal to him 100%.
Greenwood

Mason Greenwood rose from the Manchester United academy to become one of the biggest stars of the club and it was almost ruined when an alleged domestic violence case and attempted rape was raised against him by his then girlfriend but it was later dropped and he is now married with the same girl and raising a beautiful family together.
He was shipped out to Getafe to revive his career and after a successful loan spell, he was sold to Marseille and he has taken the French Ligue 1 by storm and finished his debut season as joint topscorer. This season, its been more of the same as he is painting the league with goals and also doing it in the UEFA Champions League.
Greenwood’s explosive style will be perfect for Liverpool and he will cost in the region of €60m and that would be a bargain for the Reds if they are serious about challenging for the title next season.
