Bournemouth vs West Ham: Rejuvenated Hammers chase third consecutive win at Vitality Stadium

Club football across the world returns after the mandatory international break and Bournemouth host rejuvenated West Ham at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, Softfootball reports.

The Hammers beat Burnley 3-2 while Bournemouth lost 4-0 to Aston Villa in the match-day 11 of the premier league which saw them drop to ninth on the premier league table with 17 points from 11 matches played so far.

Bournemouth are already looking to recover from their consecutive losses and focused on the Hammers game like they showed via their official X handle. They posted:

West Ham and Bournemouth have met 22 times across all competitions, and it is the Hammers picked nine wins to the Cherries’ four, while there have been nine draws played out between the two clubs.

However, in the Premier League, they have battled each other 16 times, with the Cherries winning the first 4-3 at the London Stadium in August 2015 thanks to a Callum Wilson hat-trick.

And in their last eight league meetings with the Hammers, Bournemouth have lost four of match, which include two 4-0 defeats and drew each of their last four games with three of them ending 1-1.

West Ham United youngster, Freddie Potts is one of their brightest academy graduates and he has already shown that he is ready to excel like Declan Rice, who has since moved to Arsenal. Potts’ battle-driven style have seen him win the Man-of-the-Match award against Newcastle and he is a firm favourite of manager, Nuno Espirito Santo.

Antoine Semenyo missed a penalty when Bournemouth lost 4-0 against Aston Villa but he won’t be fazed by it as he is a strong personality and one of the most sought-after wingers in the premier league. The Clarets will count on his magic to help them overcome the Hammers at the Vitality stadium.

Bournemouth captain, Adam Smith may not feature this weekend after his nasty with Tyler Adams against Aston Villa, so Lewis Cook start in his place. Ben Gannon Doak picked up a hamstring injury during Scotland’s unforgettable World Cup Qualifying win over Denmark and he is out for the match on Saturday.

Semenyo has failed to score or assist in any of his last four Premier League games but he is expected to lead the charge for Bournemouth as they look to return to winning ways.

For West Ham, Lucas Paqueta is out after picking his fifth yellow card of the season and will serve a one-match suspension on Saturday. Tomas Soucek is expected to start in his place alongside fellow midfielder Freddie Potts.

Lukasz Fabianski (back), Dinos Mavropanos (thigh) and Niclas Fullkrug (thigh) are rated doubtful for the match but Oliver Scarles is definitely out due to his shoulder problem.
