Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has advised the club to sign two exceptional midfielders next summer, Softfootball reports.
Ferdinand, who turned 46 years old a few days ago is desperate to see the Red Devils get back to winning ways. The 20-time premier league champions finished 15th last season and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur in a disappointing season.

Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim has brought in attacking reinforcements in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko but the Portuguese wants midfield additions to help his rebuilding of the squad.
Speaking in his official podcast, the former Manchester United defender called on the club to pursue these two midfielders. He said:
I will have Anderson right now if we are talking form as well, his attributes. Anderson, Wharton or Baleba? I will take Wharton and add one of them. Wharton looks a beautiful footballer and I love him.

Last summer, Manchester United went all out for Carlos Baleba but Brighton refused to reduce his £100m price-tag as they were determined to keep the Cameroonian for another season.
However, the midfielder hasn’t been the same player as he has lost the form that attracted top European clubs but Ferdinand believes it is normal for young players to be inconsistent with the form. He revealed:
He hasn’t produced his best form yet. Listen, he is a young kid, he wasn’t a finished article anyway. There’s always going to be a time when at a young age like that, there is a blip that comes and you might just be having that a little bit now, a bit of inconsistency.

While plotting for next summer, Manchester United may bring in a midfielder on loan in January and the name of former Chelsea Captain, Conor Gallagher has been mentioned as he seeks an exit from Atletico Madrid in search of regular football and a spot in the England squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ferdinand, who advised defenders on how to stop Erling Haaland in the premier league recently would be hoping Manchester United listen to him as regards signing two midfielders that can help improve their squad under Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United are currently placed seventh with 18 points in the premier league after 11 matches so far.
