Luxembourg made two changes from the 4-0 loss in October, with Enes Mahmutovic, and Tomas Cruz making way for Daniel Sinani and Olivier Thill. While Germany made three changes from that win, with Leroy Sané, Waldemar Anton and Ridle Baku coming in for Karim Adeyemi, Nico Schlotterbeck and captain Joshua Kimmich, who moves to the bench as a result of injury.
After a goalless first half, Galatasaray winger, Leroy Sané found Nick Woltemade with a low cross and he made no mistake as he stabbed the ball home with his outstretched right boot into the bottom corner.
The side almost leveled up minutes later as the ball fell to Dardari on the left side on the box, but his efforts went wide of the far post. The home side troubled Germany as the away side lost composure and struggled under pressure.

However, Nick Woltemade, who scored the winner when Germany defeated Northern Ireland 1-0 rose to the occasion again as he finished a pass from Ridle Baku to make it 2-0 to the delight of the traveling away fans.
The win helps Germany maintain top spot with 12 points after five matches, same number of points with Slovakia with one game left in the group. Both side face themselves on Monday to determine who qualifies automatically and which team goes into the play-offs.
