Kylian Mbappé recently reflected on his journey since leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for Real Madrid, describing his new club as the best in the world. In an interview shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account, he said that joining Madrid was not just a career decision but the fulfilment of a dream he had since childhood. Mbappé has often spoken about his football idols, including Cristiano Ronaldo, and his time playing alongside Lionel Messi at PSG.

Explaining the difference between both clubs, Mbappé said:
The only difference is that Real Madrid is the best club in the world. You see all the players who have passed through here and the titles they’ve won.
He admitted that the weight of the club’s history created extra motivation. He added:
It’s you who tells yourself I’m at the best club in the world. I have to win, play well, and be a role model for my teammates and for people.

The French forward revealed that at first, he overcomplicated his game after arriving in Spain. Over time, he learnt to focus on what coach Xabi Alonso expected from him. Mbappé said his new mindset is simple, which is to help the team win, whether by scoring, pressing, or creating chances.
Mbappé also praised his strong connection with Vinícius Júnior, saying they share the same hunger for trophies and team success. The 26-year-old stressed that his focus remains on Madrid’s season goals and living up to the expectations that come with wearing the famous white shirt.
