Manchester City hammered Burnley 5-1 last weekend and followed it up with this result that pushed Guardiola into the history books and the win and record was duly celebrated by the club’s official X handle after the encounter.

The Cityzen’s entered the game with confidence, knowing Liverpool had dropped points against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and an opportunity for them to close the gap on the top teams virtually opened.

The goal was Haaland’s 18th in 11 games for club and country this season.

Man of the Match, Erling Haaland gave out his shirt to a fan after the game in a special moment caught on camera and shared by Manchester City’s official X handle.
