Manchester City youngster Rico Lewis has expressed his delight as he marks his 100th game appearance for the Cityzens over the weekend, Softfootball reports.
Lewis reached the career milestone during City’s 5-1 win over Burnley, in a game that saw Erling Haaland scored a brace for the former league champions.

Lewis, being a graduate of City’s renowned Academy, where he joined at the age of eight, got his first-team debut in September 2022 when he was 17. Since then, he has won seven major trophies including the Champions League and the EPL.
Reflecting on the achievement in the official Manchester City Podcast, Lewis admitted that the landmark felt surreal. He also said this while expressing gratitude to Guardiola for his trust and to teammates for their support. While proud of his progress, the England international acknowledged that he still has much to learn and grow, though he now feels a sense of responsibility within the squad.
As shared on the club official website, Lewis said:
To get to 100 games this early in my career for City in this kind of team is amazing for me.
Thanks to the manager for putting his trust in me and to the players for helping me along the way as well.
I’m still young and feel like I’ve got a lot to learn, and I’ve got time to learn.
But yes, I do feel a bit of responsibility around myself and progression within the team.
