Barcelona vs Getafe: Laliga Team News, Official Line-Up

Barcelona will welcome Getafe to the Estadi Johan Cruyff today, in their second temporary home game of the La Liga season. With the Spotify Camp Nou still awaiting final permits for reopening, Softfootball understands that the Catalans will continue to adapt to their smaller venue in Sant Joan Despí.

Barça head into the clash unbeaten in the league, having taken four points from their opening two fixtures and crushing Valencia 6-0 in their first ‘home’ outing of the campaign. That emphatic win, played in front of just 6,000 fans, was followed by a 2-1 Champions League victory away at Newcastle United on Thursday night, ensuring momentum is firmly on their side.

Hansi Flick’s men have now won ten of their last 12 La Liga home games (D1, L1), with four of the last five producing five or more goals, and in the game preview reported earlier, Barcelona are firm favourites to get all three points with a scoreline margin of 3-nil recorded.

Getafe, however, are enjoying their best-ever start to a top-flight season. With three wins from four matches, including a 2-0 triumph over Oviedo in the last round, José Bordalás’ men sit fourth in the table with nine points.

Their fresher legs could be an advantage after a free midweek, although history is stacked against them Getafe have never won away to Barcelona in La Liga (D4, L16) and Bordalás has lost ten of his 14 managerial meetings with the Blaugrana.

Barcelona are expected to be without Lamine Yamal, Gavi, and Alejandro Balde due to injury, with Marcus Rashford likely to start again after netting twice in midweek. Getafe’s Luis Milla, already with four assists this season, will be key to their hopes, though Kiko Femenía and Abdel Abqar are doubtful after picking up knocks last weekend.

With Barcelona boasting nine second-half goals already this season and conceding just once in their last seven meetings with Getafe, the Catalans will be confident of extending their unbeaten run in front of their temporary home crowd.
