Paris Saint-Germain will be welcoming Atalanta to the Parc des Princes this evening, Softfootball reports.
Paris Saint-Germain will be starting their Champions League title defence, having lifted the trophy last season with a 5-0 final win over Inter.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who limped off with a bruised shin in the 2-0 victory over Lens, has recovered to start. However, PSG are without Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué due to injuries on international duty, while Kang-in Lee and Lucas Beraldo are not fully fit. Gonçalo Ramos is surprisingly benched in favour of 19-year-old Senny Mayulu, who joins Bradley Barcola in attack.

Atalanta also springs surprises, handing a start to 21-year-old Lorenzo Bernasconi, an academy graduate who debuted in Serie A only last weekend. Daniel Maldini is preferred up front ahead of Nikola Krstovic, while Mario Pašalić and new signing Yunus Musah complete the midfield.
The Bergamo side is in transition following Gian Piero Gasperini’s departure after nine years, with new coach Ivan Jurić gradually finding rhythm, securing their first win of the season against Lecce after draws with Pisa and Parma.

The squad is stretched with Gianluca Scamacca, Ederson, Sead Kolašinac, and Mitchel Bakker injured. Ademola Lookman remains excluded due to disciplinary issues, and Mateo Retegui left in the summer.
The clubs have only met once before, in the 2020 Champions League quarter-final, when PSG dramatically overturned Atalanta’s lead with a late 2-1 comeback.

Just as Softfootball had analysed, Hakimi and Marquinhos start the defence line for PSG.
