Manchester United have agreed a €21m fee with Royal Antwerp for the services of Senne Lammens, Softfootball reports.

The Red Devils wanted a new goalkeeper following shaky performances from Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir. They lost their opening Premier League fixture at home to Arsenal 1-0, followed it up with a 1-1 draw at Fulham. Onana kept for the first time in the season against League Two side Grimsby in the Carabao and had a series of howlers as the Red Devils were eliminated on penalties 12-11 after it had ended 2-2 during 90minutes.

Ruben Amorim sanctioned the signing of the young Senne Lammens, although he still wants an experience Premier League number one, which is why the club is still in talks with Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa.

According to Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Manchester United are expecting the arrival of Lammens for his medical before sealing a long-term deal.

He revealed:

“BREAKING: Manchester United agree €21m plus add-ons deal with Royal Antwerp for Senne Lammens, here we go!

*Agreement in place for Belgian GK to join #MUFC immediately, deal set to be sealed after medical.

“Deal also included add-ons, as @David_Ornstein reports.”

Lammens moved to Antwerp as a free transfer from Club Brugge in 2023. He has gone on to make 64 appearances for the club, winning the Belgian Super Cup in 2023.

The 23-year-old who received his first call-up to the Belgium national team in March 2025 is widely regarded as long-term replacement for Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois.

Last season, he made 30 appearances and kept seven clean sheets. While waiting for the Manchester United move this summer, Lammens had been left out of the Antwerp match-day squads for Belgian Pro-League games against KV Mechelen and KVC Westerlo.
