Real Madrid have confirmed that Franco Mastantuono will be officially unveiled as their latest signing tomorrow, Thursday, August 14, 2025, a date that also marks his 18th birthday.
Softfootball understands that the presentation is set for 1p.m. at Real Madrid City, beginning with a formal signing ceremony where club president Florentino Pérez will welcome the Argentine midfielder and finalise his six-year contract. Mastantuono will then face the media in the press room before joining up fully with the first team.
Although the move from River Plate was agreed earlier in the summer, FIFA regulations prevented Real Madrid from registering Mastantuono until he turned 18, due to restrictions on signing underage players from outside Europe.

Mastantuono has already been in Madrid since August 2, training individually under the watch of head coach Xabi Alonso. The teenager is now expected to be eligible for selection in Los Blancos’ La Liga opener against Osasuna on August 19.
In their official statement via the club’s website, the club said:
“Real Madrid CF announces that tomorrow, Thursday, at 1:00 p.m., the presentation of our player Franco Mastantuono will take place at Real Madrid City.
“Previously, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez will welcome Franco Mastantuono for the formal signing ceremony that links our new player to the club for the next six seasons.”
Seen as one of the brightest prospects in Argentine football, Mastantuono is among four summer arrivals at Real Madrid as the club continues to prioritise youth development under Alonso’s guidance.
