Florian Plettenberg, German football expert, has now revealed via his official X account that the deal to take the player to Atletico is off as he is now on his way to Saudi Arabia.

He said:

“Enzo #Millot is now close to joining Al-Ahli, with Matthias Jaissle having pushed strongly for the move.

“Exclusive detail: #VfB Stuttgart are set to receive at least €28m in transfer fees, as the release clause for a move to Saudi Arabia was no longer valid.

“The player is still in Stuttgart but will soon travel for his medical once the final details are settled.

“Al-Ahli have therefore hijacked the planned transfer to Atlético Madrid after @FabrizioRomano and confirmed.”

The 23-year-old French midfielder is rated highly in Europe due to his superb technical stills and versatility. He has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Al Ahli.

The Saudi Arabian club is expected to complete the contract details with Stuttgart before announcing the official deal this week. Interestingly, the player also agreed personal terms with Millot but the Saudi Arabia club made a better financial offer to the club.

Millot scored six goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances for VfB Stuttgart in the2024/25. The exciting creative midfielder also recorded 5 assists.

Meanwhile, Stuttgart are still desperate to keep hold of their highly rated forward, Nick Woltemade. German champions, Bayern Munich are very keen on signing the striker this summer but their €40million offer was rejected.

Stuttgart insists the player is worth between €80-100million as they consider the player as one of Europe’s best goal scorers.
