Manchester United’s new signing, Diego Leon has expressed his delight with life at the club after he joined this summer, Softfootball reports. The 18-year-old is currently on tour with the Red Devils in the United States where they are taking part in the Premier League Summer Series.
Diego Leon joined the 20-time Premier League champions from his boyhood club in Paraguay, Cerro Porteno and has impressed so far.

He made his debut in Stockholm, Sweden during Man United’s goalless draw against Leeds United before further substitute appearances against West Ham and AFC Bournemouth in the USA.
Interestingly, he registered his first assist in the 4-1 win over the Cherries. It was a bit of an awkward moment as he showed strength and good dribbling skills by evading two defenders with his pace but fell at the edge of the box, luckily the ball fell into the path of Ethan Williams and he finished with aplomb for his for senior goal.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official club media, Diego Leon had smiles on his face as he expressed what it meant to him to be at a huge club in Europe.
He revealed:
“It’s incredible.
“I am really enjoying being here with team-mates and learning a lot of things.
“It’s the first time I have had friendlies like this. I thought it was going to be the stadium half-empty before entering the pitch but then, I hear a sound that surprised me! The stadium is full, the fans. It’s all crazy.”
Diego Leon doesn’t speak English but has got a teacher helping him with learning the language. However, he communicates well with teammates as there are Spanish speaking players in the United squad and the defender acknowledges how the Coaches are trying to help him reach top levels.
He said:
“I talk with almost all of the players and they advise me, both on the pitch and personally.
“And the coaches are also teaching me a lot of things to be able to better polish my game.”
Diego Leon is again expected to feature for Manchester United on Sunday when they take on Everton in the final match of the Premier League Summer Series in the United States.
