Tottenham Hotspur have entered into talks with Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich over the possibility of signing Portugal international, Joao Palhinha, Softfootball.
The 30-year-old joined the Bavarians for £47.4 million last season but has been plagued by injury problems across a frustrating debut season with the club.

Palhinha is currently competing for game-time in Bayern’s midfield with Leon Goretzka, Aleks Pavlovic, Joshua Kimmich, Konrad Laimer and new signing Tom Bischof and at the moment, he is below the pecking order.
According to German football expert, Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham are looking to provide the Portuguese an escape route back to the premier league.
He revealed via his official X handle:
“Tottenham Hotspur have entered into concrete talks with FC Bayern (Max Eberl) and Joao Palhinha’s camp. Spurs are currently considering a loan move.
“FC Bayern are still open to negotiations, should a suitable offer arrive for the 30 y/o.
“Palhinha is more and more open to leaving Bayern in order to play regularly. There are plenty of enquiries – Tottenham are serious now.”
The former Fulham midfielder was also considered by Spurs London rivals Arsenal but the Gunners instead went for Span international Martin Zubimendi and Brentford captain, Christian Norgaard.
Palhinha was strongly chased by top clubs in Europe while he played for Fulham. His ability to break plays and initiate attacks was a delight and he got among the goals a few times also. The powerful midfielder is relentless and was one of the best tacklers in Europe but moving to Bayern now seems like a wrong move.
Tottenham is not the only side hoping to sign him this summer as David Moyes’ Everton are interested in his services but are yet to make direct contact with Bayern Munich or the players representatives.
The World Cup is in 2026 and Palhinha would love to play regularly for his club so as to make the Portugal squad for the mundial.
