Galatasaray and Napoli are currently signing and exchanging necessary documents to seal the permanent transfer of Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen to the Turkish giants.
Osimhen will leave Napoli after five years on the clubs books. The 26-year-old netted 65 Serie A goals from 108 league appearances during his time in Naples, and was the Capocannoniere as Napoli won their first Serie A title since the Diego Maradona era during the 2022-23 season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, he shared on X that the deal to finalize Osimhen move is now at the ‘signing stage’, and lawyers are currently working in an attempt to complete the transaction before the end of the week and and the tweet reads:
“Galatasaray and Napoli, at the signing stage for all documents of Victor Osimhen deal.
Lawyers working to get the agreement formally sealed over the weekend. ✍🏽🇳🇬
Here we go, confirmed”.
Osimhen enjoyed a phenomenal 2024–25 season on loan in Istanbul, leading the team to a domestic double with the league title and Turkish Cup.
Softfootball understands that once the Osimhen deal is finalized, Galatasaray plan to shift focus to other squad areas, particularly the goalkeeper position. Despite strong pre-season showings from Gunay and Jankat, Buruk underlined the club’s desire to bring in another shot-stopper.
Additionally, some players leaving may be necessary to balance the books, and make room for new arrivals. While Victor Osimhen’s signing is the centrepiece of Galatasaray’s transfer window, the club is expected to remain active in the market as they build toward another title contending campaign.
Victor Osimhen will earn a reported 16 million euros per year, making him one of the highest-paid players not only in Türkiye but in the region.
The financial terms underline Galatasaray’s commitment to building a competitive squad under head coach Okan Buruk, who has been instrumental in pushing for the Nigerian’s long Napoliterm signature.
Galatasaray have made a clear statement of intent by signing a world class striker who has already proven his worth in their system.
With Osimhen leading the line, the club hopes to reclaim the Süper Lig title and make a deep run in European competitions. For Napoli, the deal ensures a healthy return on investment.
