Softfootball has gathered that Chelsea has placed a huge price tag on their striker, Nicolas Jackson, as they intend to ship him off the Stamford Bridge this season. But the £100m may seem to be “unrealistic” for the striker, whose form has dropped ever since he joined the Blues from Villareal two seasons ago.
According to the Daily Mail, AC Milan, one of the suitors for Jackson, has included the striker on a six-man shortlist of potential centre-forward targets, with growing optimism that the Chelsea striker could be open to a move. But the Premier League club’s hefty £100m valuation is the problem.
The 24-year-old has slipped behind summer arrivals João Pedro and Liam Delap in Enzo Maresca’s attacking plans, casting doubts over his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

Both new signings have quickly impressed in preseason and early training sessions, prompting Maresca to reconsider his preferred attacking structure ahead of the new campaign. Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal for £32m in 2023, has struggled for consistency in 2025.
He has managed just four goals since the start of the year and picked up two red cards in recent months against Newcastle and Flamengo, which further compounds his drop in form.
While Chelsea maintains they are under no pressure to sell, Milan is exploring the possibility of a deal, having been informed through intermediaries that the Senegal international may be open to a fresh start in Serie A. However, the Blues’ £100m asking price remains a significant hurdle for the Rossoneri.
Jackson has scored 30 goals in two seasons for Chelsea, with his work ethic and movement often praised. But his inconsistency in front of goal has led the club to assess options for a more reliable No. 9.
Milan, who have a long history of transfer dealings with Chelsea, are in the market for attacking reinforcements following the exits of Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic. Jackson is now firmly on their radar, though the financial demands could yet prove decisive.
While a transfer out of Stamford Bridge is still pending, Maresca will need the attention of Jackson ahead of the Club World Cup final on Sunday against PSG. Softfootball had earlier reported Chelsea’s anticipation to play against fellow European side PSG and prove every wagging tongue wrong.
Contrary to the belief in some quarters that Chelsea are the underdogs heading into the game, Levi Colwill strongly disagrees, as he feels the Blues are good enough to win the encounter.
The Club World Cup has produced some fantastic entertainment, and the final of the competition is set to be even greater fun for fans as Champions League winners and Conference League champions face off.
