Softfootball can confirm João Pedro has officially signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea, committing his future to the club until June 2032.
Documents have been approved and signed, with the Brazilian forward receiving a salary increase as part of the new agreement. Chelsea have also included an option to extend the contract beyond June 2032.
João Pedro remains a key part of Xabi Alonso’s project at Stamford Bridge following an impressive pre-season campaign.
The 23-year-old ended pre-season in outstanding form, scoring twice as Chelsea defeated Real Sociedad 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in their final friendly before the new Premier League campaign.
João restored Chelsea’s lead with a well-placed header in the 47th minute before completing his brace in the 77th minute with a composed one-on-one finish.

His double took his pre-season tally to seven goals, underlining his importance to Alonso’s attacking plans.
Rogers, Reece James, Pedro Neto and Moisés Caicedo also impressed as Alonso gave minutes to 20 players during the final pre-season test.
With his new contract now signed, João Pedro is set to remain a central figure in Chelsea’s long-term project as the Blues prepare for the 2026/27 campaign.
