Marcus Rashford’s stance has not changed despite recent reports linking him with Turkish clubs. Softfootball understands that the Manchester United forward is not planning to leave for Turkey this summer.
There is no chance of a move to Fenerbahçe at this stage, with Rashford fully focused on Manchester United and preparing for the 2026/27 season.
Softfootball previously reported that Rashford had returned to Manchester United’s Carrington training ground, as the club increasingly believes there is a serious possibility of the 28-year-old remaining at Old Trafford.
Rashford returned to England following the 2026 FIFA World Cup and has now rejoined Michael Carrick’s squad for pre-season preparations.
Despite continued speculation surrounding his future, the England international is understood to be ruling out moves to Turkey and Saudi Arabia, with his preference remaining European football.
Manchester United have also shown increasing willingness to reintegrate Rashford into their first-team plans and have assigned him the No.14 shirt, further suggesting that the club are preparing for his return.
The decision to give Rashford the No. 14 shirt represents another indication that Manchester United are increasingly open to keeping the 28-year-old at Old Trafford rather than actively seeking his departure.
His previous No. 10 shirt has been taken by new signing Matheus Cunha, leaving Rashford with the number he successfully wore during his spell in Spain.
The forward’s situation could therefore represent a significant change from earlier expectations, when his departure appeared increasingly likely.
For now, Rashford remains focused on Manchester United, with Turkey not an option and Fenerbahçe not a destination he is considering.
