Manchester City have made contact with Palmeiras over a potential move for 22-year-old winger Allan, who has emerged as their main option to replace Savinho.
Initial discussions have already taken place regarding the Brazilian winger’s valuation, with City believing there is room for negotiations to reach an agreement.
Allan is understood to be keen on a move to Manchester City, which could help the Premier League club as they work to accelerate negotiations with Palmeiras.
The move comes after Savinho’s imminent departure from the Etihad Stadium.
Softfootball previously confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur had reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City to sign Savinho in a deal worth more than £75 million, with the package expected to exceed £80 million including add-ons.
Savinho is set to travel for his medical before completing the remaining formalities of his move to Spurs.
With the Brazilian winger on his way out, City have quickly identified another Brazilian talent in Allan as their preferred replacement, with negotiations expected to develop further.
