During Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi’s unveiling at Coventry City, Softfootball gathered that he was joined by his brother Victor Awoniyi, his wife, sister‑in‑law, and other family members, all present to celebrate the special moment with him.
Coventry City had on Monday, 17 August 2026, signed Taiwo Awoniyi from Nottingham Forest, completing a fee of around £17 million. He will wear the No. 14 shirt for the Sky Blues.
Awoniyi will also be linking up with his fellow Nigerian Super Eagles teammate Frank Onyeka, who signed a permanent deal as a midfielder, ending his three‑year spell at Brentford in June 2026.
