Softfootball can confirm that Malo Gusto’s situation at Chelsea remains unchanged, with a potential exit still possible this summer.

Chelsea have placed a £75 million valuation on the French full-back, but Manchester City are not currently prepared to meet that asking price despite maintaining an interest in the player.

City’s interest dates back to June, when reports emerged that the Premier League giants were considering a move for Gusto. new manager Enzo Maresca was understood to be keen on a reunion with the defender, having previously worked with him.

However, the significant gap between Chelsea’s valuation and Manchester City’s willingness to pay remains the major obstacle to any potential transfer.

For now, Gusto remains a Chelsea player, but his future could still become one of the stories to watch as the summer transfer window approaches its final stages.

Should negotiations progress, Gusto could become one of the headline transfers of the summer as Manchester City begin a new chapter under Maresca.
