Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has praised Wilfred Ndidi following the midfielder’s return from injury, saying the Nigeria international has already had a positive impact on the squad.
Ndidi had been out of action since suffering a muscle injury during Leicester’s Premier League meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion in December.
The 28-year-old made his comeback in Leicester’s FA Cup fourth-round clash against Manchester United last weekend, featuring for more than an hour before being replaced by Harry Winks.
Despite his time away from the team, Ndidi looked sharp on his return and produced an encouraging performance against his manager’s former club.
Van Nistelrooy was particularly impressed by the midfielder’s leadership, physical presence and ability to contribute in attacking areas.

Van Nistelrooy said.
Ndidi’s return is a welcome boost for Leicester as they prepare for a difficult Premier League fixture against Arsenal at the King Power Stadium.
